Meet the Mama Behind the Camera
My name is Melissa Smith, but you can call me Mel. I am Puerto Rican but born and raised here in Tampa, FL. I am a UCF Alumni (go Knights! "charge on"). I'm blessed with an amazing husband/Baby daddy Douglas Smith, our handsome boy Douglas Ezra who we call Ezra, & our fur babe Sophie.
Why Hire MSI?
When you look at your photographs, I want you to feel something. Whether it be the happiness you felt that very day it was captured or the love that was shared in that moment, I want your photos to be an expression. I want them to tell YOUR story.
For my families, I do child led sessions, what this means is, I let the children do their thing as I follow along snapping away. I don't force them into doing something they don't want to do. I find that the session goes a lot smoother (for you and them) if the kids are having a great time.
As for my couples, I love to capture that deep passion that you share. The intimate, soulful moments are my favorite!! Im all for the ooey gooey love stuff!!
When you book with me, think of it as dedicating an hour, or 2, or even your whole day, to be completely present with your family/significant other, just with paparazzi/a professional third wheeler tagging along. Those raw intimate moments are what I strive to capture, so expect to give lots of hugs and kisses and just bond with the ones you love most.
